  1. Gongala can be access via A17 from Galle-Madampe road.At Heyes (at 94 Km post)need to take the climb on a gravel road in bad condition.Only 4WD and Tri-wheel can travel to the summit. The walk is about 5 Km and take you through the tea plantations. It takes around 2 hours to walk uphill but can make the down hill in around 1 hour time.

  2. Gongala is a great clime for group training. I took my crew for a day climb and we all enjoyed the walk. The climb itself need planing; for drinking water, meals, first aid for emergency, transport etc and provide a fine planing experience for a group.
