Bambarakanda Waterfall (highest) of Sri Lanka

Bambarakanda waterfall is highest waterfall of Sri Lanka and which is situated at Haldumulla Electorate of Badulla district. The waterfall is high about 241meters. The water fallen down with high rock and knock other rocks increase the beauty of this fall. Water comes to this fall is from Horton place and after that this water goes to the Samanala wawa (means the valley looks like a butterfly).
There are some waterfalls closed to Bambarakanda falls. Those are Bambarakanda Ella, Lanka Ella, Uduwara Ella and  Nagadowa Ella. There are several mini waterfalls also available. They are also beautiful but not higher than Bambarakanda & not famous.
